The Sweet Cherries in Argentina and Chile Tour is an intensive, technical agricultural education tour focusing on high density sweet cherry production.  The program will feature 10 days of orchards, packhouses, nursery, and scientific discussions.  Approximately 80% of the tour is technical in orientation and 20% cultural/economic/touristic in orientation.  The program includes a stopover in Curico for the one day "extension workshop" hosted by the International Society of Horticultural Science (ISHS) on 12 November.  All tour activities will be completed in time for participants to travel to the ISHS 6th International Cherry Symposium http://www.cherrychile2009.cl/uc/.
